JSSC calendar 2025: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has officially released the tentative recruitment calendar for the year 2025–26, outlining a detailed schedule for various competitive examinations. According to the announcement made on Friday, a total of 13 examinations will be conducted for the appointment of candidates to 38,988 posts across multiple categories.
The calendar includes tentative dates for the release of advertisements, examinations, and declaration of results. These posts encompass a wide range of departments including teaching, police services, and technical positions. Among these, recruitment will be done for high-volume posts like inter trained assistant acharya, excise constable, and police sub inspector (SI), marking a major opportunity for job aspirants in Jharkhand.
Key examinations and post-wise recruitment breakdown
As per the calendar, two examinations from the previous year—Mahila Supervisor Competition Examination 2023 for 488 posts and Matriculation Level Competition Examination 2023 for 455 posts—were conducted in September 2024. Their results are expected to be announced in May and July respectively.
Additionally, the re-examination for two papers under the Jharkhand Primary School Trained Assistant Acharya Joint Competitive Examination, which was held in August last year, will take place in June. These include paper-two (Panchpargania and Kurmali) of inter trained assistant acharya and paper-four (Urdu) of graduate trained assistant acharya. The original examinations were cancelled and are now being re-conducted. Results for these posts will be announced between August and November. The result of inter trained assistant acharya is expected in January, and the appointment will take place next year. In total, 26,001 posts are to be filled under both categories.
Examinations to be held for police and excise posts
The Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination 2023 for 580 posts is likely to be conducted in July. The results for the same will be declared in November. Meanwhile, for 4,919 constable posts under the Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination 2023, successful candidates from the physical efficiency test will appear for the written examination. The Home Department will oversee the selection process.
New recruitment drives to be announced soon
The Jharkhand Police Sub Inspector Combined Competitive Examination 2025, involving 975 posts, will see its advertisement released next month. The examination is likely to be held in October, with results expected in January next year.
