CISCE results 2025: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has officially declared the results for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations for the academic year 2024-25. With a strong overall performance, this year’s results once again reflect a high pass percentage and notable achievements by students across India and abroad.

The ICSE exam saw a total of 252,557 candidates appearing, out of which 99.09% passed. The ISC exam had 99,551 candidates, with a slightly lower yet impressive pass rate of 99.02%. Girls outshone boys in both exams. In ICSE, girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.37%, while boys followed at 98.84%. Similarly, in ISC, girls recorded a 99.45% pass rate against boys’ 98.64%.
Participation and Gender Breakdown
In ICSE, 134,700 boys (53.33%) and 117,857 girls (46.67%) appeared, while ISC had 52,339 boys (52.58%) and 47,212 girls (47.42%). Girls not only maintained strong representation but also consistently outperformed boys in terms of pass percentage.
Region-Wise Highlights
The regional analysis reveals interesting trends in performance:
• For ICSE, the Western region topped with a 99.83% pass rate, closely followed by the Southern region (99.73%).
• In ISC, the Southern region led with 99.76%, trailed by the Western region (99.72%).
• Notably, foreign candidates in ISC achieved a perfect 100% pass rate.
The Northern region contributed the maximum number of students in both exams, covering major states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh.
Language Diversity and Curriculum
The ICSE examination spanned 67 subjects, including 20 Indian languages, 14 foreign languages, and 1 classical language. The ISC exam offered 47 subjects, with 12 Indian, 4 foreign, and 2 classical languages, emphasizing the Council’s commitment to linguistic diversity.

CISCE also highlighted the commendable performance of candidates from special categories:

• Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates achieved 98.71%
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 97.28%
