Sacked Maharashtra cop gets life for killing API, chopping up body | India News

He was convicted two weeks ago. Although Bidre-Gore's body parts were never found, a Panvel sessions court held that their absence was not an "absolute ground to exonerate the offenders". According to sources in ED, he had received Rs 5.9 crore for endorsing projects of Sai Surya Developers. Of this, Rs 3.4 crore was paid through cheque and 2.5 crore by cash. SC collegium okays transfer of 7 judges from 3 HCs to ‘infuse inclusivity, diversity’
