Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has publicly condemned a recent move by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne, who threatened to withhold more than $1.5 million in federal funds from the Kyrene School District. Attorney General Mayes has urged all Arizona school districts to continue abiding by relevant state and federal laws but advised them to disregard threats that have no legal basis.
