UPSC CDS (1) result 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the UPSC CDS Result 2025 for the Combined Defence Services Examination (I). Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their qualifying status by visiting the official website, upsc.gov.in. According to the official release, a total of 8,516 candidates have cleared the written examination and are shortlisted for the next stage — the SSB Interview.
As per UPSC’s notification, the Service Selection Board (SSB) under the Ministry of Defence will conduct interviews for admission into the following prestigious courses:
- Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun: 160th (DE) Course starting January 2026
- Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala: Course commencing January 2026
- Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad: (Pre-Flying) Training Course (219 F(P)) starting January 2026
- Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai: 123rd SSC (Men) (Non-Technical) Course commencing April 2026
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai: 37th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course starting April 2026
Candidates must submit their original certificates supporting age (date of birth), educational qualifications, and NCC (C) certificates to the respective military branches based on their course preferences. The submission addresses are as follows:
- IMA/SSC first-choice candidates: IHQ of MoD (Army) / Directorate General of Recruiting, West Block III, R. K. Puram, New Delhi-110066
- Navy first-choice candidates: IHQ of MoD (Navy), DMPR (OI & R Section), Room No. 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011
- Air Force first-choice candidates: PO3 (A)/Air Headquarters ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opposite Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110106
The deadlines for document submission are:
- January 1, 2026, for IMA and INA candidates
- November 13, 2025, for AFA candidates
- April 1, 2026, for SSC course candidates
It is important to note that candidates must not send their original certificates directly to the UPSC.
CDS 1 Merit List 2025: Registration for SSB Interview and Marksheet Details
Candidates who have cleared the written exam and given Army (IMA/OTA) as their first choice are required to register themselves at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in to receive SSB interview call-up information. Those who have already registered do not need to register again.
Meanwhile, the marksheets of non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on the UPSC’s official website within 15 days from the declaration of the final OTA results (after SSB Interviews) and will remain available for 30 days.

- Visit the official website: Go to the Union Public Service Commission’s official website by typing upsc.gov.in into your browser’s address bar.
- Navigate to the results section: On the homepage, locate and click on the link that reads “UPSC CDS I Result 2025” under the ‘What’s New’ or ‘Examination Results’ section.
- Open the result PDF: After clicking the link, a PDF file containing the list of qualified candidates will open. This document includes both roll numbers and names.
- Search for your roll number or name: Press Ctrl + F (on Windows) or Command + F (on Mac) to open the search bar. Enter your roll number or name exactly as it appears on your admit card to quickly find your result.
- Download and save the result: Once you have verified your result, download the PDF file by clicking the download icon. Save a copy on your device and take a printout for future reference, especially for the
SSB interview process .
