The identification of these local terror operatives emerges as authorities step up their campaign to eliminate support structures enabling cross-border terrorism.
Security personnel have initiated joint operations throughout South Kashmir, focusing on Anantnag and Pulwama regions, where several identified suspects are thought to be active.
Officials confirm these identities form part of a broader intelligence file used to prevent future strikes and interrupt terror support systems in the Valley.
Authorities are working to establish connections between these 14 terrorists and the five attackers who targeted 26 tourists at the scenic Baisaran meadow, near Pahalgam tourist destination at 2 PM on April 22.
Previously, authorities released sketches of three terrorists–Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah and Abu Talha. They also identified two local operatives, Adil Guri and Ahsan. A reward of Rs 20 lakh has been declared for each suspect.
The NIA, along with other agencies, is assisting the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the investigation, after Pakistan-based terror outfit LeT’s proxy group, TRF, claimed responsibility for the attack.
