[ad_1] MUMBAI: At a juncture where the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is at the receiving end for dismal performance for poor conviction rate, ACB has secured conviction of a senior transport official in 11-year-old trap case. The accused had retired in 2021.According to additional deputy police commissioner Anil Gherdikar, the ACB sleuths had in 2014, trapped assistant regional transport officer Rajendra Aknath Nerkar while accepting Rs 1,500 as bribe. Nerkar's friend, Jaiprakash Dalvi, accepted the amount on behalf of the officer. Nerkar had demanded the bribe amount for returning the documents pertaining to a bus.
